Nabbing herself another new gig as she tries to improve her financial situation, Lindsay Lohan has been named as an endorser for Jag Jeans.

The troubled actress is featured in a new campaign for the denim brand, with the shoot having taken place at the SLS Hotel in Los Angeles.

Of choosing LiLo for the gig, a Jag spokesperson told, ?As Jag Jeans? newest endorser, Lindsay embodies the strength and fearlessness of the woman of today. She is unafraid to be who she is. She is fierce yet exudes feminine grace.?

Miss Lohan’s photo session was spearheaded by world-renowned photographer YuTsai, who has worked in the past with top names including Anne Hathaway, Mila Kunis, Rihanna and Janet Jackson.

As we told you, Mr. Mike Daisey totally broke our brains and rearranged the pieces after we listened to an excerpt of his The Agony and The Ecstasy of Steve Jobs on a recent episode of This American Life . The takeaway was pretty grim ? across the seas in Shenzhen, Hong Kong, hundreds of thousands of workers constructing your favorite luxury tech products toil under labor conditions that strain the boundaries of human rights. Yes, to lessen the cost of your beautiful, perfect iPhone or iPad, human beings are accidentally maimed, driven to suicide, and subjected to demands most Americans wouldn?t place on an animal. Daisey?s monologue on the subject was revealing and revelatory enough for us to seriously ponder our own fashion shopping habits.

But, as we said, changing our buying patterns may not be as effective in the long term as simply shedding light on how our consumer goods are produced. Proof positive: Apple announced this week that it has invited a third-party human-rights watch group to conduct studies of the now-infamous Foxconn plant in Shenzhen ­? far and away the biggest producer of iPads and iPhones. This audit seems to be the real deal as the not-for-profit conducting it, the Fair Labor Association, is not only well regarded, but will make its findings known to the public. Bottom line, because of Mike Daisey?s personal obsession and a series of inspired articles in the New York Times, transparency and change may be coming to Foxconn. Funny (or not so) how shame can be a powerful force for good.

We can only hope that this bold first step from Apple will serve as a wake-up call to both marketers and manufacturers world wide ? you may secret your production away from the eyes of concerned consumers, but on this digitally connected globe, there really is no place to hide.

<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/romeo_santos/artist.jhtml">Romeo Santos</a>, the former lead singer of the popular bachata group <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/aventura/artist.jhtml">Aventura</a>, has taken a new step in his career, venturing out on his own as a solo artist. Mixing his signature bachata flair with some R&B, he is showing fans a whole new side on his debut album, <i>Formula, Vol. 1.</i>

Hoping to spread his unique sound and style to a mainstream audience, Santos enlisted <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lil_wayne/artist.jhtml">Lil Wayne</a> for his latest single, "All Aboard."

"This song 'All Aboard,' that tune allowed me to expand and kind of offer my audience something totally different because it's not bachata &#8212; I'm singing English and that was really fun," Santos recently told MTV News. "I was a little nervous about that, but people actually really accepted it."

Santos and Weezy recently shot the video for "All Aboard" in Miami; he called the clip "sexy," "seductive" and "elegant," but also revealed that this collaboration came very close to not making his album.

"I was just like, I like the song but it's missing something, and at first I couldn't figure out what it was," Santos said. "What we did was we left 16 bars open, and I was like, you know, who would rip this track? Lil Wayne. So we reached out. It barely made the album because he's a busy dude, so he actually got on the record two months after we submitted it. It was like, if we don't get his vocals in the next two days we hit, and we got it, so we made it and the song is just really great."

Wayne isn't the only artist Santos pulled in for his album. On his last single, "Promise," he teamed up with <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/usher/artist.jhtml">Usher</a>, who last week joined him onstage at <a href="/news/articles/1678993/romeo-santos-solo-tour.jhtml">Santos' first of three sold-out shows</a> at New York's Madison Square Garden.

"I felt at that moment once again I was going to revolutionize bachata 'cause it was the first time that you hear an artist from the mainstream singing bachata," Santos said. "It was a big deal."

By now, you?ve heard about the passing of Zelda Kaplan, the stylish, youthful 95-year-old toast of the New York social scene who, quite literally, died in the front row at the Joanna Mastroianni show this past Wednesday. It might be in poor taste to say that the manner of her passing has already become the stuff of Fashion Week legend or to report that more than a couple of editors in our circle have said it was a fitting and even desirable way for her to shuffle off this mortal coil. Yes, poor taste ? but true, nonetheless.

The sensational details of her demise aren?t why we?re writing today ? nor is this an obituary. Those were filed and published on Thursday. No, we just want to take a moment here and note that Zelda Kaplan represents for us not just a legendary way to die, but an ideal way to live.

We don?t need to get into the details of her past life ? certainly she didn?t like speaking about it herself ? but it is important to note that Kaplan?s time as a glam, African-print-clad social butterfly began only after two marriages and hitting 50-years old. She reinvented herself as a dance instructor and art-scene favorite around the same time her peers were focusing on browbeating their boomer-generation daughters into becoming traditional wives and mothers.

It seems, at some point, she had become fed up with expectations and delayed gratification and immersed herself in New York?s vibrant creative scene, African culture and social issues, fabulousness, and whatever was happening right now…and never looked back. It?s something anyone ? whether they be a fashionable 50 or a casual 22 ? should embrace.

There?s a poem ? you know it ? ?When I’m an Old Woman I Shall Wear Purple,? by Jenny Joseph. It is, supposedly, about the liberty that comes with dotage, about how older women, free of work, the expectations of society, and sexuality can be as nasty as they want to be. In truth, it?s about how one should be proper in youth and enjoy being demented and decrepit with age.

Kaplan wouldn?t want either part of that. After leaving her past life as a housewife behind, propriety was not a question and there would be no waiting, no embracing the crude or the slovenly, no walking down the street a blissful outcast. By keeping time with women young enough to be her great grandchildren at the Beatrice and out-smiling everyone at fashion week, Kaplan reminded us that though old age is a physical condition, it does not have to be a spiritual one. She was never an old woman, and she wore a lot more than purple.

Almost a decade ago, when she was a mere 87, The New York Times profiled Kaplan, who was busy bouncing between the dance floors of Lotus and Bungalow 8 (they were still cool at the time). There she was quoted saying, ?I want to be an example for young people so they aren’t afraid of growing old and a lesson to old people that you can be productive. You don’t have to sit around and wait for death.?

Certainly, Kaplan was and is an example for us ? we?re a little less afraid of aging because of her ? and, even though she was seated when death came for her, it caught her mid-motion. All, things considered, it was a good way to go.
